Daughters of Zion

God uses the name "Daughters of Zion" for the people of Jerusalem when speaking to them of His fatherly love and care, including in times of discipline. In Zechariah 9, the daughters of Zion are called to rejoice for their coming King who brings salvation. Throughout Scripture we find women who believed in this coming promise of salvation, putting their faith in things not yet seen. We see women like Eve who received the first promise of salvation and Rahab who was determined to be part of God’s plan. Then comes Mary, who watched as God fulfilled all that her people had longed for. Discover their stories and others as we celebrate our Savior together!

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He..."
