Covid-19 Update:
Restored to Glory is planning a regular, albeit shortened, new season starting November 2, 2020 that will run six months instead of nine.  We will keep abreast of current CDC guidelines at the time and make what accommodations are necessary. The new season will end in a less formal presentation than years past, we are envisioning an open invitation to RTG families to come and observe a simple presentation and celebrate Jesus with us. Costume costs will also be simpler. This short season presents a unique opportunity to experience Restored to Glory at a lower overall tuition cost and minimal costume cost without losing the quality and community our classes offer. We know the coming months may bring some changes and limitations, but we look forward to resuming our lessons with a passion for dance and worship that hasn't changed. We hope you will join us!

Classes:
Our dance classes meet at a Christian church in Leo, Indiana. We have two classes going on simultaneously Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Classes begin in late August and end in late April with the Annual Spring Presentation. Classes are 90 minutes in length, with the exception of our very youngest classes, whose class time is between 60 & 75 min in length.

Teachers and students focus on prayer, Bible study, barre work, ballet technique and their praise/worship dances.
Younger classes may learn rhymes with hand motions to help them remember their bible studies. They present their rhymes at the end of our Spring Presentation.
We accept students from ages 4 to adult, of all skill levels, whether you have previous dance experience or not. What matters is a heart that desires to worship God with your whole heart and body.

We do offer an Intensive Dance series. This was started for our advanced dancers who do not have time in their young adult lives to come to class weekly, but still want to continue training and possibly be in our Spring Presentation. This class meets on four Saturdays from fall to spring for an all day intensive session. Enrollment for this class must be approved since it is for dancers of an advanced level.

New Students
New students are placed into the class that seems the best fit for them according to information given us, including age and previous dance experience.
New dancers being inserted into existing classes are required to take a few preparatory dance lessons before our new season begins. These lessons help new dancers learn basic positions and form as well as combinations and barre work that the returning students already know, making an easier transition for all.

Returning students
Classes are given an arbitrary color name such as Red Class, Pink Class, etc.
We love to keep classes together as much as possible.
If you are in the Pink class when you begin, there is a good chance that you will be in the Pink class for years to come. This does not mean you are not advancing, it means that you are all advancing together.

However, changes do occur. Sometimes dancers leave and new dancers join. Occasionally there is a dancer who is ready for a greater challenge. Sometimes we move dancers from one class to another rather than put beginner dancers in a more advanced class.

Each dancer is discussed every year at our teacher retreat. Our teaching team works together to choose the best placement for each dancer, considering each one and their abilities to be sure they are in the class they will benefit most from.
Ultimately, class placement is left to teacher's discretion, and dancers are placed according to age and ability.
 Expenses:

Tuition:
Tuition for RTG is comparable to other dancing schools in the area. Tuition can be paid in 9 monthly installments that are due at the beginning of each month, August through April. Tuition may also be paid for the entire season or a few months at a time if desired. A $5 monthly discount is available for each additional dancer in one immediate family who enrolls. To request current rates and fees, click here.

Costumes:
Costumes and occasional props are purchased by the dancer for our Spring Presentation. A $50 deposit is due in October to purchase materials for our costumes. The balance of your costume bill is due January/February. Payment options are available if needed.  Most of our costumes are custom designed by our team and made in house by our own RTG seamstresses.

Practice outfits:
Practice dance wear is chosen by RTG to keep the dancers dressed modestly, promote uniformity in class and to differentiate one age bracket from another. Dance wear is purchased through RTG and Standing Ovation.
Dancers approximately age 4-10 wear a light pink, cap sleeved leotard with an attached skirt. They wear white tights, white ankle-warmers and white leather ballet shoes.
Dancers approximately age 11-adult wear a black leotard, black dance skirt, black leggings, and black jazz shoes with a colored dance tank top in either light pink, grey, or black to signify age bracket.

Optional suggestions:
*Dancers have the option to purchase a ballet sweater from Standing Ovation, chosen for their class for chilly weather.
*We have a resale shop less than a mile from our studio to buy and sell used RTG dancewear that is in like new condition.

Presentations:
The last weekend of April is always our first choice for our presentation.
Family, friends, and the public are invited to attend. We do not charge for tickets but we do take up an offering at each presentation. Dancers are given postcard invitations to hand out and mail to those they wish to invite. This is a wonderful way to show your faith to your loved ones.
Some classes occasionally may also be asked to travel to churches or other venues to minister in dance at various times throughout the year.

Please contact us with any further questions. If you would like to enroll, please fill out the form linked below to put your dancer on the list to be placed in a class during open enrollment.
We look forward to dancing with you!
